Crossing Borders: The Work of Redemption in a Xenophobic Age

I wonder if there is a context in which it is appropriate for Christians to break border laws based on theological reasoning. However, if a Christian breaks a law out of conviction, she must be prepared to suffer the consequences. It would be interesting to explore a theological basis for breaking laws. An alternative would be a kind of isolationism, which does not seem to be a viable option. The answer seems to be to engage. Think about the problem and work with others to find solutions.
